Annual BBQ - 2010
It appears that this year was the 7th year for the Photo Club Annual BBQ! Wow how time flies!! (when you're having fun). This year, as with every year, the weather co-operated wonderfully... There were about 37 people (members plus some spouses) in attendance, and a great deal of food (wonderful treats). All 3 BBQ's were kept busy for some time during the cooking period with a wide selection of things that people brought to cookfor themselves. Most of the drinks, buns, deserts, and condiments
disappeared. At least no one went away hungry! Bob Kerr and Denise came late morning to help set up tables and chairs etc. People started arriving at about 2:30 and the last left about 9:45 PM. There was a mass of cars parked on the road, both sides and neighbours, who all had been warned, said at least it slowed down the traffic entering and leaving the sub-division... A lot of people enjoyed the pool. Everyone took part, enthusiastically I must say, in the Garden Search, where you had a time limit to identify and locate as many as possible of the 60 items all over the garden. At times it was a rat race and pandemonium all around with most people determined to find the items they had picked in their draws. Winning teams got to pick first from the pile of allegedly fabulous prizes (from the Dollar Store!), and all seemed to be pleased with their winnings... in fact there were prizes for everyone!
So in conclusion I would say another great year for the BBQ, and I'm sure all look forward to next year... make sure you are part of it then.
